This is a Special Group of Staff for 2013

Every year we scour the country in search of the BEST University students to come and help mentor our program here at KIVU.  And every year it seems like there are wonderful people willing to sacrifice their summer to continue moving the DNA of KIVU to another place.

The Other night we invited all the neighbors down for a Community Picnic.  We give them tours, have them engage with our staff people, and eat A LOT!!

After meeting our staff, some of the Vallacito Residents commented, "These kids give me hope the world is going to be O.K."

And I can't stop thinking how right they are.

This year it seems we have a special group of people waiting to give everything they have for the Best in Class Adventures we want to share with students.  They have a sweet spirit, a willingness for excellence in whatever they're doing, and they long to share life together.

If you're still wondering what the staff at KIVU is going to be like this year, take it from me; This is the Hope for the next generation.  I couldn't be more proud to serve along side them as we go into the summer.

AND...if you're still looking for a place to come get a break from the heat of the summer, don't hesitate to check out http://www.campkivu.com.  We've still got spots available for you to have the BEST TWO WEEKS of your life!!

See you soon!

It's amazing to think Summer 2013 is up and running already.  It seemed like only yesterday the end of 2012.  We were saying goodbye to our good friends, and getting ramped up for the annual KIVU tour around the world.  And here we are.  Where does time go?

For the last week, we've had 100 of the GREATEST University Mentors at KIVU preparing them to lead the adventure trips, mentor students, and learn the culture of KIVU we've taken so much pride in formulating for the last 15 years.

Our first 7 day term is starting on Sunday, and we can't wait!!

We hosted our first KIVU picnic the other day, and it was just like clockwork.  I'm amazed how giving this staff is to set up, prepare, and clean up without being told.  All of the naysayers that say this generation doesn't know how to work need to come out to KIVU and watch 100 University students spend countless hours serving one another.

It's an amazing community of people willing to do WHATEVER it takes for High School students to have the Best Two Weeks of their lives!

The Bike Shop is all ready.
The Ropes are out for Climbing.
The Backpack guides are spending their time preparing, scouting, and making sure all the equipment is ready.
The Lantz is up and running.
The Parties have already been planned.
And the Facility looks better than it has in nearly 15 years.

So if you're looking for a place this summer to escape the heat.
If you're interested in being a part of our KIVU family.
OR...if you just want a relaxing place to explore
