Sunday, and the Kingdom of Heaven

So many of us are just trying to climb to the top of God's approval, right? I mean we check off the 'duties' of Christianity without any concern for what's really going on.

We go to church
We read our Bible
We share our faith
We don't do the the list of things God hates
We try and be kind
We try to give our life away

But in the end, sometimes the void of God's approval just doesn't seem real. We're walking through life longing for God to smile down and just say, "Well done."

This morning at church, I went ahead and tried to tell the kids they're already there. God already approves of them. He wants to have relationship with them. He's taken the guilt and shame of what we've done in the past, and moved on. For it's the 'poor in spirit' that have good news!!! For now they have the ability to enter in the kingdom of God.

A kingdom without pain
A kingdom without disease
A kingdom without sin

Oh, how I long for that day! A day where we can stand in the midst of God's kingdom, let down our walls of protectionism, and just BE who He created us to be.

It's Sunday here at KIVU, and we're focused on God's Kingdom.
