UNBELIEVABLE!!

I gotta be honest, sometimes it's really hard to transition from one term to another. The emotional, relational, and spiritual bridges formed are often really hard to translate from the group leaving to the group coming. Our schedule demands one group of kids leave at 9:00 a.m., and the next group arrive at 2:00 p.m. It's CRAZY!

But this term is different...

Yesterday our 5th term crossed the bridge to go home. It was emotional. It was hard. It was like saying goodbye to 150 of your best friends, and then 6th term came busting in. I gotta admit, I was tired. I spent the day trying to connect with kids, trying to connect with some of the staff, and some of the day keeping up with all the office work.

To my surprise...I went to the opening night party, and found more energy than I've seen all summer long. It was AWESOME!!

At the end of the night, one of my long term students came up and gave me a big hug. With tears in his eyes, he said, "Thank you so much....I needed this."

And that's why we do what we do.

KIVU is like an oasis across the bridge of life. You know you can't stay forever, but if you could just cross and experience what it's like to prepare your mind, body, and spirit for the upcoming year; it's totally worth it.

Yesterday morning I was tired.
But After last night, I'm refreshed.
I sense that God is gearing us up for something special.

Thanks for praying. We couldn't do this without you.
