There's something special about Kivu. We get to have a blast enjoying the beauty of Colorado and delving deep into conversations that matter. We finished the ropes course just before an afternoon storm rolled in and we forced to go to the gym. After an amazing game of indoor soccer we sat down to cool off and talk. It was amazing to hear what the students are learning. When the floor was opened to questions for our group, one student inquired about what does following God mean for guys. She shared about how for girls God is the One in whom they find their security and beauty. What an incredibly deep thought to have as a high schooler. It spurred a great dialogue about who God is to us.
After our awesome outings in beautiful Colorado, we recently had a crazy dance party that was Superhero themed. The campers came out in some great costumes and we had a blast dancing the night away. It's incredible to be at a place that can show students how to have a great time with each other in a way that honors the Lord.
