From the amazing adventures that we get to have every day, to the growth we get to see in the hearts and minds of our incredible campers, its hard to sum up Kivu as anything other than special. But it isn't the pursuits, or the parties, or the stunning Colorado wilderness that makes Kivu such an unique place.
Its the community.
Kivu isn't just a camp, its a family. And as we head into the last few days of our term, our campers are starting to see just how tightly knit this family can be. Every day I am seeing new friendships form and old relationships strengthen. And I get so excited about the fact that these bonds are so much more then just camp acquaintances. They are genuine, real connections that will likely turn in to life-long friendships.
It's amazing the family that can form when you're focused on loving God and loving others.
