"She looks like my third grade teacher, and I hated my third grade teacher... wait a minute, she IS my third grade teacher!"

Tonight was the BEST night of camp: Girls night! Girls night is the night at camp everyone (even maybe the boys...who knows) look forward to. It is a time we can just be girls together.

The afternoon was spent making yummy desserts for all the girls at Kivu to enjoy. We had buckets of puppy chow and oreo popcorn! Then we all dressed up in our pajamas for dinner. There are nightgowns, onesies, hair in pigtails, and slippers everywhere. After dinner, all of the girls go back and grab pillows and blankets and head to the Lantz. There, we show the ultimate chick flicks if history past. This time we watched Sleepless in Seattle!

When sixty girls get together to watch a movie, it is not just a movie. We oohh and ahhh at the love scenes. We cry together. We laugh together, and we yell when it looks like there is no hope for a happy ending (even though we all know there will be one).

This girls night was one for the books. It was a time we all crowded together and ate way too many sweet and just enjoyed being girly. I can honestly say that this is a camp favorite for every girl at Kivu!

"When I met my wife, it was so clear. I just knew. I knew it the very first time I touched her. It was like coming home, only to no home I'd ever known. I was just taking her hand to help her out of a cab. And it was like...magic." -Tom Hanks (Sam)
